Remington Woods is a beautiful 422-acre forest straddling Bridgeport and Stratford with a 23-acre lake, forest, meadows, and wetlands including vernal pools. Remington Woods is home to a vibrant living community of birds, wildlife, and plants.
Remington Woods is currently undergoing an environmental clean-up expected to be completed in 2020. At that time, Remington Woods could be preserved and protected for the enjoyment of the communities or it could become a commercial industrial complex for the benefit of corporations.
Our objective is to preserve Remington Woods in its entirety as a living community of plants and animals, which provides many needed benefits to the larger urban community, to be preserved and conserved in perpetuity as a living forest, and oasis for wildlife and humans alike, with walking trails, and protected habitat.
Please sign the petition to Corteva, and the Bridgeport Planning & Zoning Commission, Stratford Zoning Commission, Bridgeport Office of Planning & Economic Development, Bridgeport Department of Land Use Construction Review, Bridgeport Department of Health, Stratford Department of Health, and Stratford Inland Wetland Commission urging them to protect and preserve Remington Woods.
