Clean energy is the cheaper, safer option for our state. We need Safety Harbor to join St. Pete, Largo, Dunedin, Sarasota and Orlando in their commitment to transition to 100% clean energy, which would save taxpayers money on municipal operations, grow our economy, create good local jobs, and clean up our air & water.
Investing in energy efficient city buildings powered by solar would generate a rapid and lasting Return on Investment (ROI) that will free up funds for other types of city improvements.
Safety Harbor strives to be a vibrant destination city with a unique quality of life – a city that is successful in balancing responsible, innovative growth with careful preservation of its small town atmosphere, its quaint character, and its valued treasures; we also need to make it one of the most sustainable! It’s time to plan to make clean, renewable energy available to all residents and businesses in the community.
