As your constituent, I urge you to vote against HB 2476. Although framed as a pesticide labeling bill, HB 2476 would strip Kansas farmers and communities of long standing legal protections by shielding pesticide manufacturers from liability even when their products cause harm. It would override state and local authority and weaken the ability of Kansans to seek accountability through our courts. This bill is not necessary for pesticide companies to do business in Kansas. It primarily protects corporate profits at the expense of public health and farmers’ rights. Please stand with your constituents and vote no on HB 2476. Thank you for your service.
