The Midtown Greenway in Minneapolis is one of the most successful urban bikeways in the nation. Now it’s time to make it even better! Help demonstrate support for extending the Greenway over the Mississippi River to the Prospect Park neighborhood in Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, Allianz Field in Saint Paul, and ultimately, connecting it to Ayd Mill Trail to downtown Saint Paul.
The first step is developing a Shared Use Agreement to add a bike/walk/roll trail on unused right of way on the Short Line Bridge over the river, and make immediate connections to existing bikeways and destinations. This will require leadership from Hennepin County, the Met Council, and other leaders and agencies.
