Instructions for sending a postcard:
1. Write a polite letter about why you are concerned about the proposed Niagara Bottling plant and the increased pumping of groundwater. Ask the DNR to conduct a rigorous aquifer test to ensure this increased groundwater withdrawal won't draw down nearby private wells or impact surface waters which include the Vermillion River. Remember to write politely and thank the DNR staff for their work.

Dear Commissioner Strommen,
(Personal opening) As a mother of two, I’m worried about the proposal for a new plastic bottling plant in Elko New Market Minnesota. I don’t think we should be giving away our water, especially without thoroughly investigating the possible implications for our and future generations' water needs. Climate change is here and it brings uncertainty. Droughts and floods are becoming more common and impact water supply.
(Ask) Please conduct a thorough aquifer test that analyzes what the impact of increased water taking will be on Minnesotans access to groundwater for our drinking water, agricultural needs and more.
(Thank) Thank you for your dedication to protecting our water resources,
