Update: Exciting news! A judge has recommended that the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources deny PolyMet’s permit to mine. This is one of three key permits issued to PolyMet that has been denied by the courts or rejected by an agency. Now, Governor Walz and the Minnesota DNR have the opportunity to make the right decision.
This recommendation confirms what Minnesotans have been telling our elected leaders and state regulatory agencies for years: PolyMet is a bad project and should have never been permitted. And it shouldn't have taken multiple lawsuits - years and incredible amounts of money - to stop it.
Denying this key permit would help us move one step closer to securing a better future for us all. Tell the Walz Administration to finally deny the PolyMet permit!
