Ask your Hennepin County Commissioner to set a closure date for the HERC Trash Burner and make zero waste a real possibility in Hennepin County.
What happens to our trash is a local choice. The HERC Trash Burner is publicly owned. It burns trash from across the County but pollutes in a predominantly poor, black and brown community. Hennepin County Board Members are the final decision makers here – and they are elected by us. They need to hear from their constituents to back up what folks on the front lines have been saying. Set a shut down date and move the County to Zero Waste.
