No more dirty coal! Reject the Millennium Bulk Terminal!

User-added image

On August 13, a coal train derailed in Montana, dumping 30 rail cars of dirty coal into the Clark Fork River, a tributary to the Columbia. This was a stark reminder of the risks that coal poses to our rivers and our communities.

We have come a long way since Millennium Terminals first proposed the largest coal export terminal in North America on the Columbia River seven years ago. We stopped five other coal terminals -- and many other fossil fuel proposals -- but our work as the thin green line of west coast fossil fuel resistance is not yet done.

State and local agencies are now accepting comments on Millennium's permit application to develop their coal export terminal on the Columbia River shoreline.

Submit a comment today saying dirty and dangerous coal terminals have no place on our river shores.
