Tell Congress to pressure the Fiscal Control Board to cancel Whitefish Energy's contract.

Puerto Rico recovery

Dozens of Senators and Representatives formally requested an investigation into the bidding process that the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) used to select Whitefish Energy to rebuild the island’s power grid.

Meanwhile, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke continues to deny any personal ties to Whitefish Energy despite mounting evidence to the contrary, and millions of Puerto Ricans are still without power more than a month after Hurricane Maria struck. Entire towns are completely in the dark when the sun goes down, hospitals across Puerto Rico are struggling to care for their patients with nothing but generator power, and residents still have trouble meeting basic needs.

Congress has the power to pressure the Puerto Rico Fiscal Control Board to cancel PREPA’s contract with Whitefish Energy and use a fully transparent bidding process to find a contractor with the right experience and capacity to get power restored on the island quickly.

Send a message to your legislators and demand they call for PREPA to cancel the Whitefish contract and get the people of Puerto Rico the help they need now.
