Tell NV Energy it's time to retire Valmy and replace it with solar

Dirty Coal or Clean Renewables? You choose.

NV Energy knows they could save Nevadans money by retiring the Valmy coal plant and replacing it with solar generation, but the plant continues to pollute. It's the last remaining utility-owned coal plant in Nevada and it's time for it to go.

Send a message to NV Energy President Doug Cannon: Tell him you want to see NV Energy take serious steps to retire Valmy, and soon.

Valmy is Nevada's dirtiest pollution source, emitting significant amounts of air pollutants that cause smog and regional haze, including particulates and toxins like arsenic and benzene.

NV Energy's own analysis, the Life Span Analysis Process (LSAP), found they can save money by replacing Valmy with solar power. Tell NV Energy it's time to get serious about their clean energy leadership.
