Tell Xcel: We Want a Fair and Ambitious Clean Energy Plan for Colorado!

Meet Ben! He testified at the Public Utilities Commission last month in support of less coal and more clean energy in Colorado! Now, he has an ask for you ---

We are on the brink of nearly doubling the amount of clean energy Xcel gets from renewable resources. But we haven’t won yet and that means you still have a chance to make history with us!

Please send an email to Xcel Energy’s Board of Directors asking them for a fair and truly clean Colorado Energy Plan that:
  • Doesn’t build any new fracked gas plants and try to pass it off as “clean” energy (yes utilities do this ALL the time).
  • Ensures an equitable transition for the Pueblo community, including a plan for the workers leaving the coal industry.
  • Takes full advantage of historically low prices for renewable energy and battery storage.
The Colorado Energy Plan could be a HUGE step in the right direction to a coal-free Colorado, but we have to do it right. Let’s make sure Xcel Energy moves forward with an ambitious and equitable transition to clean energy that will set an example for retiring the rest of Colorado’s coal plants.
