Please vote "No" on HR 3144, and any legislation that harms endangered salmon in the Pacific Northwest.
HR 3144 is bad for fish and bad for the Northwest. As salmon and steelhead return to native fish and streams in record-low numbers, and orcas that rely on them as a food source continue to starve, we need to do all that we can to help salmon recover - not make a bad situation worse.
The 4 dams on the lower Snake River create a lethal corridor for migrating salmon. They drastically hinder fish passage and contribute to river conditions that can be lethal to salmon, such as rising temperatures and reduced flow.
HR 3144 is misinformed and dangerous and needs to be stopped. I urge you to preserve our Northwest heritage by voting "No" and protecting our wild salmon.
