For the first time ever, City Water, Light, and Power (CWLP) is making a long range plan called an Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). The City has hired The Energy Authority to conduct the plan and is asking for input on what they should include in forecasting models.
The plan will help identify what type and mix of generation (coal, natural gas, wind, solar and energy efficiency) will be best suited to provide reliable and reasonably priced electrical power to meet the community’s needs for the next 20 years.
As the energy market moves towards clean energy, it’s important that this plan include clean energy options in its modeling scenarios. Add your name and tell CWLP to include clean energy in its long range plan!
