Everyone deserves to breathe clean and healthy air -- Sign our petition today!

For more than 12 million Californians, breathing polluted air has become an almost daily reality -- and it's killing us. More than 5,000 Californians die prematurely from air pollution every year -- that's more than from traffic accidents and crime combined! [1]

Most of SoCal's air pollution is caused by increased trucking and goods movement across the region, and the polluting diesel and gas trucks that come with it. Southern California has some of the busiest cargo and freight corridors in the nation. [2]

***Facts alone don't quite paint the picture, so we captured the footage shown on the video on this page to demonstrate the scale of the pollution to our neighborhoods.***

The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) has the power to create rules and drive policies that will clean up our air and protect our children's health while simultaneously keeping our economy strong. And they work for us, the public, so let's hold them accountable to their responsibility to keep our air clean.

Sign the petition to urge the SCAQMD Governing Board to do more to improve air quality and protect our health. Tell them to adopt a strong Indirect Source Rule that puts investments in zero-emission vehicles and electrification at the forefront of the rule.

It's time to prioritize the investment in clean technologies like zero-emission vehicles and battery electric trucks. Our health and our children's future should not be at risk simply by breathing.

Sign the petition and please don't forget to add your personal comment -- Tell the SCAQMD why you want them to do more to improve air quality in your community.
