The "bee-apocolypse", the massive death of bees, is not science fiction. It's science out of control. According to a recent report from the Department of Agriculture, in just the last year, 33% of hives of honey-producing bees died.
If we lose the bees, we will lose more than their honey. We will lose our strawberries, avocados, peaches, pumpkins and more than 140 fruits and vegetables that depend on the work of bees for pollination. We will lose about 15 billion dollars in agricultural income, small family farms and local businesses. We lose our traditions. But together - with you on our side - we are stronger and we can have a better chance of saving the bees.
