Tell Your Representative to Protect Over 2 Million Acres of Public Lands

User-added image

The Natural Resources Management Act, S. 47, would protect more than 2 million acres of public lands. The bill passed with an overwhelming show of bipartisan support, proving once again that our public lands are America's common ground. Now this bill to protect moves to the House, where we expect a floor vote by the end of the month and we need your help.

Take action: Tell your Representative to vote YES on the public lands package.

The Natural Resources Management Act, S. 47 will:

  • Permanently reauthorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund;

  • Congressionally establish the Every Kid Outdoors program;

  • Designate 724,628 acres of wilderness in southern Utah;

  • Designate a new National Monument in Mississippi in honor of civil rights leader Medgar Evers;

  • Creates Wilderness and Mineral Withdrawals in New Mexico, Washington state, Montana, Oregon and California; and designates Wild and Scenic Rivers in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Send a message to your Representative today: Encourage them to support the Natural Resources Management Act, S. 47. Add a personal personal message about the national park, monument, or other public lands you love and why. Let them know why you think the outdoor spaces should be around for all to enjoy and explore for generations to come.
