Trump is trying to steal your clean air

Remember that 1980s movie where the villain stole clean air from different planets and packed it into aluminum cans for rich people to breathe? The idea seemed so absurd, who would ever dream it could happen in real life?

The Trump administration is trying to take away states' rights to keep you breathing clean air. But you can add your name to show your support for cleaner air and stronger emissions standards.

As part of the Clean Air Act, California is allowed to set its own emissions standards for cars and trucks. And many states have chosen to follow the California standard, which helps to keep our air cleaner than it otherwise would be. We’ve heard rumors that President Trump, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, and EPA Administrator Wheeler plan to strip these rights away.

Tell Secretary Chao and Administrator Wheeler: Hands off our clean air! The rule revoking this ability to set emission standards is not finalized yet, so there’s still time to support the right of states to keep our air clean. These rules have been working well for 40 years, and we need them now more than ever. Undercutting states’ ability to set more stringent limits on tailpipe pollution is not just bad for public health, it’s bad for consumers and bad for the auto industry.

Act now, and tell Trump & Friends to leave the Clean Car Standards alone.
