Demand the Senate protect the health of workers & communities, not corporations and polluters!

**How has the pandemic impacted you? Share your personal story with your senators to make a bigger impact. **

The GOP-proposed HEALS Act fails to fully recognize that our communities are hurting as the pandemic continues to wreak havoc on our public health and economy.

The House of Representatives passed the HEROES Act back in May, a much-needed relief bill for workers, local governments, and more. Mitch McConnell has stalled it in the Senate. Now, the GOP-controlled Senate finally has produced their own plan that shamefully falls short.

Use this form to tell your senators to pass relief & recovery measures that address systemic inequities and prioritize the health of workers, the environment, and our democracy.

We continue to advocate that any bills in response to COVID-19 must include the following:

  • Provide health protections and economic relief to those who need it most regardless of immigration status, especially Black communities and other communities of color.
  • Oversight of CARES Act funds and reject bailouts of fossil fuel corporations.
  • End utility shutoffs and invest in resilient infrastructure projects - like replacing lead pipes and ensuring safe, clean water for all, particularly communities of color who have too long been deprived of it.
  • Support the once-booming clean energy sector and the estimated 625,000 clean energy workers whose jobs have been lost due to the economic downturn.
  • Protect and enhance our democracy with safe and secure elections for all.
  • Support for local and state governments that are struggling to provide essential services.

We’ve joined with labor and environmental partners to call out this #SenateFail and demand that senators do their job. We must speak up now, and ensure the Senate passes meaningful relief before they leave Washington for their August Recess before the health and well-being of our communities get even more dire.
