Tell Congress to support new environmental protections

The Biden administration just announced historic new protections that will slash air, water, and carbon pollution from power plants. This is a HUGE win for the health of our communities and the climate, and it wouldn’t have happened without years of grassroots advocacy from Sierra Club supporters and our broader movement!

But now Republicans in Congress are trying to undermine the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority and undo this great work.

We know what’s at stake – We must protect the progress we’ve fought so hard for. Contact your Senator and tell them to vote NO on any vote aimed at weakening crucial public health and climate protections!

Dear Senator The EPA plays a critical role protecting public health and the environment for all Americans. The agency has recently finalized strong protections against deadly soot pollution, improved regulations on methane pollution from oil and gas drilling, new requirements to clean up pollution from coal plants, and new standards to improve vehicles on the road. Possible Congressional Review Act resolutions in the coming months will roll back the Biden administration’s progress has made to improve the lives and the health of tens of millions of Americans. Overturning the EPA’s common sense rules undermines the agency’s mission. This is the exact opposite of what Congress should be focused on right now I urge you to vote NO on any forthcoming CRA aimed at harming the EPA’s critical public health and environmental protections.
