Tell Biden: Act on Climate Before Leaving Office

The clock is ticking, we have just weeks left until Trump takes office. President Biden must take action NOW to do everything he can to protect our health, air, water, outdoors, and climate from a dangerous Trump presidency.

Here are five actions we need President Biden to take before he leaves office:

Speed up the clean energy transition. Disburse all remaining climate and clean energy funds passed in the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act.
Block fracked gas. Finalize the Department of Energy’s updated studies for fracked gas exports (LNG), and deny six dangerous LNG projects including CP2.
Protect public lands. Declare new National Monuments including Black Wall Street in Oklahoma, Great Bend of the Gila in Arizona, and Chuckwalla, Kw'tsàn, and Sáttítla in California.
Shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL). Stop the flow of oil through this dangerous, illegal pipeline by telling the Army Corps of Engineers to deny the permit.
Protect the air we breathe. Finalize California's clean transportation waivers so other states can follow suit in safeguarding our air and climate.

We urge  you to take the following five immediate executive actions and urge Congress to finalize vital legislation to protect our environment and climate before Trump takes office!

Here are the five things you can do right now to ensure your legacy and protect our future:

1. Disburse all remaining climate and clean energy funds passed in the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act.
2. Finalize the Department of Energy’s updated studies that are incorporated in the public interest determination for fracked gas exports (LNG) and deny the dangerous CP2 LNG project 
3. Declare new National Monuments including Black Wall Street in Oklahoma, Great Bend of the Gila in Arizona, and Chuckwalla, Kw'tsàn, and Sáttítla in California.
4. Shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL). 
5. Finalize California's clean transportation waivers to protect our air and climate and prepare the states for ambitious climate action.
