National parks, national monuments, and other public lands and waters are some of our country’s most popular areas for exploring nature while conserving landscapes, cultural and historic areas, clean water, and wildlife for the future. They are part of what makes this country great, but the Trump Administration, some members of Congress, and certain state leaders want to give away these cherished places to corporate polluters and profiteers to increase drilling, mining, logging, and other development - while blocking access to the general public.
President Trump has personally directed a massive effort to strip protections of public lands and waters to enable industrial and commercial development. The Administration and its allies in Congress have attempted to sell off, transfer, and privatize public lands; eviscerate national monuments and other conservation areas; bulldoze national parks and other landscapes for border construction; and dismantle key laws, regulations, and policies that have protected our wilderness and other public lands for decades.
