In 2021, a regulation known as the Advanced Clean Trucks rule was added to the books, requiring truck manufacturers to gradually increase the sale of zero-emission vehicles in New York. Now, during the first year of implementation, just when the rubber is about to meet the road, New York lawmakers want to postpone enforcement. Corporations have had decades to clean up their act voluntarily, but they haven't. Now it's time for strong, enforceable standards that prioritize people over profits.
