Support Veterans’ Access to the Outdoors

Too many veterans today face barriers to accessing the outdoors, whether it’s due to cost, transportation, or lack of programming and activities in their communities. However, we know that time in nature has proven mental and physical health benefits for people who served in our armed forces.

There is an opportunity right now for Congress to pass the Veterans Outdoor Rehabilitation Act, which would create a grant program for supporting structured outdoor recreation programs for all veterans the first time. These programs have been proven to build community, improve wellness, and reconnect veterans with the outdoors and our precious public lands.

Tell Congress to pass this bill and ensure every veteran has the opportunity to heal, connect, and thrive in the outdoors.
