Demand the EPA Protect Our Health From Toxic Diesel Pollution

The EPA's current truck pollution standards are under attack, even though truck manufacturers already have the technology to meet them. So why is the agency looking to weaken a life-saving protection that's already working?

Because they want to hand the truck manufacturers exactly what they asked for, at the expense of our health. We won't allow it.

Weakening this rule locks in another generation of dirty diesel trucks on our roads, leading to more toxic pollution for families living near busy truck corridors and freight hubs, and more health damage for decades to come.

Let's make sure we document our opposition to Trump's EPA's attack on clean air. Submit a comment today!

When you submit your comment, here's what's worth including:

  • Children, older adults, and people with preexisting conditions face the greatest harm from tailpipe pollution.
  • Delaying enforcement of these tailpipe limits would worsen air quality, deepen our chronic disease crisis, and mean more Americans get sick and die from cancer, COPD, and heart disease.
  • Working families are already struggling with healthcare costs. Weaker tailpipe standards will make Americans sicker and poorer.
  • The World Health Organization's cancer research agency classifies diesel exhaust as a carcinogen, and experts have called it more dangerous than secondhand smoke
  • Diesel prices are surging, and the national average is over $5 per gallon. Higher diesel prices mean higher costs for the entire supply chain, from truck drivers paying for fuel to families paying for groceries.
