Tell Congress: Save Our National Parks and Public Lands

Since early 2025, the Trump administration has fired thousands of rangers, educators, scientists, and caretakers, cut or delayed funding, and advanced polluting projects across our public lands agencies. This has led to increased wait times, reduced access to medical assistance, delays on critical maintenance projects, increased vulnerability to climate change’s effects, and fewer people to manage recreation safely, patrol sensitive habitats, and ensure Indigenous and community voices are represented in public land decisions.

This brutal wildfire season has made the impacts of these cuts impossible to ignore. Massive cuts across the Forest Service followed by haphazard proposals to restructure have left the agency in a chaotic position at a critically important time. With fewer redcarded staff who can be deployed to fires, fewer support staff, delayed mitigation work, and weakened preparedness, containing dangerous fires has become even harder and more dangerous for firefighters.

Tell Congress to defend our national parks, monuments, forests, and public lands, and provide resources to workers in these critically important public land management agencies.
