Demand Congress Reject Attacks on Long-Standing Clean Air Protections

Congress is considering resolutions under a "fast-track" tool called the Congressional Review Act (CRA) that would overturn longstanding California clean air waivers.

Repealing these safeguards would mean more air pollution from transportation causing real harm to our health and our pocketbooks -- as well as delivering yet another handout to Big Oil.

These protections have helped states address harmful pollution from cars, trucks, garden equipment, ships, and harbor craft.

States, manufacturers, ports, and businesses have relied on them for years, and many of the standards have already been implemented. Overturning them now would undermine states' ability to protect public health, create uncertainty for businesses that have already invested to comply, and threaten progress toward cleaner air.

Instead of increasing pollution, Congress should focus on policies that will actually make transportation more affordable for Americans. Take action now!
