Pledge to Defend our Shared Public Lands

America's public lands face their greatest threat in decades. Since retaking office, the Trump administration has moved to strip protections from tens of millions of acres and block off our access by handing more public land to private developers.

In just the past few months, President Trump has attempted to cut nearly three million acres from Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments, reducing the size of each by about 90 percent. His administration is pushing to repeal the Roadless Rule, which would strip protections from 45 million acres of national forest--including old-growth forests--to allow roads, logging, and mining. And in Big Bend National Park in Texas, construction crews bulldozed a stretch of protected parkland to start building unnecessary border barriers.

This is a coordinated assault on the places that are shared by all of us, and it will not stop on its own.

Here is what they are counting on us to forget: we have fought attacks like these before, and we have won.

People like you are the reason our public lands are still here to protect today. At Big Bend, there were months of public opposition from protestors, speakers, and six separate lawsuits challenging the administration's border barrier plans. That pushback led to an emergency court order blocking further construction. Last year, when the Senate proposed selling millions of acres of public lands across the country, people spoke up, and the proposal was withdrawn. Together, our movement has beaten back attempts to shut us out of public lands before, and, together, we will do it again.

Add your name and tell Trump we will not stand by while our public lands are handed over to private interests.
