We are the leaders we have been waiting for.

The Oklahoma Chapter of the Sierra Club is building a Capitol Action Team that will be our eyes, ears and voices at the State Capitol during the legislative session. The Chapter lobbies on bills that impact our air, water and climate. Are you dedicated to building a healthy Oklahoma for this and future generations? Then there is a role for you on our team. Fill out the form to sign-up to learn more, and one of our volunteer leaders will reach out to you with next steps.

What is the Capitol Action Team?

We are a group of Oklahomans who believe in common sense environmental protections for our communities. We believe that politicians need ot be accountable to the communities they serve, and that requires consistent and personal communication. As a member of the team you can:

  • Receive regular issue briefings and action alerts from the Oklahoma Chapter Legislative Committee
  • Plan and attend events to help lobby on priority bills at the Capitol and around the state
  • Meet with legislators one-on-one to inform them on key issues and represent the Sierra Club position, as approved by the Legislative Committee
  • Email, call, and write your legislators with user friendly talking points
  • Attend a monthly Zoom call to meet with Legislative Committee members and dive deeper on the issues.

Join the team today!
