This week a bi-partisan bill was introduced in the Pennsylvania Senate that could help our Commonwealth catch up to states leading in electric vehicle adoption. Senate Bill 596 would increase access to affordable clean electric vehicles and charging stations; this is critical to meeting the goals of the Paris Climate Accord and to have the opportunity to decarbonize our economy by 2050.
Ask your state Senator to support healthier communities by cosponsoring Senate Bill 596
Clean electric vehicles will save families and businesses money, create jobs, and improve the health of our communities. Senate Bill 596 aims to increase the number of electric vehicles on the road up to 50% by 2030. In order to reach that target, SB 596 would require electric utilities to develop and implement plans for installing charging infrastructure where it is needed throughout the Commonwealth to ensure easy travel on the roads as well as electrify our transit systems. Tell your state Senator to support cleaner cars and buses today!
