Tell PA State Representatives: Protect Native Species!

Pennsylvania is home to nearly 100 species of imperiled pollinators and other beneficial insects. Unfortunately, there is no state agency responsible for the welfare of these species.

House Bill 441 has been introduced to fix this gap in conservation and assign native insects to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). Contact your representative and ask them to support this legislation!

Dear Representative, I urge you to support House Bill 441. Monarchs, bumblebees, and other beneficial insects are at risk in Pennsylvania since no state agency is responsible for their welfare. These insects are critical to our agricultural systems, healthy forests, and other natural ecosystems. I ask that you please support HB 441 to grant authority of native insects to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Thank you!
