Act today to ensure that decisions at PJM are made in the interest of consumers!
House Bill 1599, a bipartisan bill to improve transparency for decisions made at PJM, has made it to the PA Senate. This bill would require electric companies to report on how they vote on issues at PJM in an effort to ensure decisions are made in the interest of consumers.
Decisions made at PJM are often made in a secretive fashion behind closed doors. This lack of accountability allows voting PJM members, many of which are utility companies and electricity generators, to make decisions in their own interest rather than the interest of the customers.
