The Santa Lucia Chapter of the Sierra Club serves all of San Luis Obispo County. We strive for diversity, equity, and inclusion in all our activities and welcome you to join us as a volunteer.

Here are some of the areas we are working on:
- Conservation - protect land, water, plants, and wildlife
- 30x30 - protect 30% of our land and waters by 2030
- Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary
- Climate and Clean Energy - renewable energy
- Zero Waste - reducing use of plastic
- Getting off-highway vehicles off of Oceano Dunes
- Shutting down Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant and protecting surrounding land
- Environmental Justice
- Outings - organize and lead groups to get outdoors
- Political - interview candidates; meet with elected officials
- Fundraising - raise funds to support the Santa Lucia Chapter
- Membership - conduct outreach to recruit and retain members
- Youth Engagement
- Programs - develop interesting programs for our members
- Administration - support the operations of the chapter
