TAKE ACTION! Ask your Senator and Representative to support the Tennessee Waste to Jobs Act

A strong coalition of Tennessee industries, packaging experts, and passionate citizens has united behind the Tennessee Waste to Jobs Act to deliver substantial benefits to our communities. This bill funds recycling access for all Tennesseans, creates new jobs, and offers tax savings through a fully funded program - all while keeping valuable materials out of our dwindling landfills.

Tennessee ranks 48th in recycling nationwide, and half of our residents lack access to recycling services. Your legislator wants to hear how this bill helps your community by creating infrastructure that turns waste into valuable materials for Tennessee businesses - keeping costs down and creating local jobs. Help us pass this commonsense solution. Contact your legislator today!

As your constituent, I'm writing to seek your support for the Tennessee Waste to Jobs (TWTJ) bill #SB0269/HBO600, a pro-business initiative that will create new jobs, strengthen manufacturing and enhance national security in our district and across Tennessee while reducing costs for our community. This business-focused legislation eases the imminent landfill crisis while creating new jobs right here in our community. It reduces pressure on our local landfills, saves costs for our residents, and puts Tennessee's economic interests first through fiscally responsible resource management. Tennessee manufacturers need these materials to grow their businesses and stay competitive. Our state's ceramic tile industry - which produces 95% of America's tiles using Tennessee clay - is actively seeking recycled glass, while our aluminum manufacturers need recovered materials to expand production. This bill creates the infrastructure to get these valuable materials to Tennessee businesses instead of sending them to landfills. To learn more, please visit sc.org/twtj-explainer. As your constituent, I respectfully request your support for this job-creating legislation that will strengthen our local economy and Tennessee's manufacturing leadership. Thank you for your time and consideration.
