Every 10 years, state policymakers update Utah’s energy plan. We’re there, again; and the Office of Energy Development has released a summary of where they think we should go. The draft report is short (two pages) and includes no mention of climate change whatsoever.
This presents a critical opportunity for the public to take action, and share our vision for a just and equitable energy future for Utah.
Utah’s energy plan will set the baseline for energy development in the state over the next decade, and will determine if Utah works towards a socially and environmentally responsible future, or continues our legacy of energy sacrifice zones and dependence on the boom and bust cycle of fossil fuels.
