The pipeline accountability legislation submitted by Delegate Chris Hurst: HB 643, HB 644 and HB 646 were approved by the Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources Committee and are on their way to the full House of Delegates! These bills are strong, necessary and urgent actions that expand enforcement authority to hold polluters accountable, and strengthen protections for Virginia communities and waterways from ruinous pipeline projects. Can you help contact your Delegate to ask for their support?
Virginia’s waterways have been subject to hundreds of water violations from projects like the Mountain Valley Pipeline and should have the most stringent protections in place - protections that increase transparency, promote the health of our waterways and hold companies responsible for their projects.
Delegate Hurst’s three pipeline-related bills, HB 643, HB 644 and HB 646 would help achieve those goals, and they need your support!
