Community Cleanup Archbald Pothole
Our Community Cleanups in partnership with the Valley Community Library, Lackawanna County Environmental Office, and Keep NEPA Beautiful are back! Join us on Sunday, April 6 at 11am as we partner with DCNR to cleanup at Archbald Pothole State Park. This event is family-friendly and will include the Best Practice's Award Winning Litter Study where we take an in-depth look at what litter we are finding at each location. We will be joined by Toni DeSantis from Lackawanna State Park Service to learn about invasive plants. Those who would like to are invited to work with Toni and the Sierra Club for invasive species removal in this park. We will hold conversations about the correlation between invasive plants and litter along with sharing what we've found and how we can work to improve the health of our environment. If you have a Community Cleanup Shirt from a previous cleanup please wear that. You are welcome to bring your own gloves and trash grabbers. If you have gardening tools like shovels, rakes, brush shears, or other tools you find useful in removing harmful plants you are welcome to bring those supplies. Trash bags, gloves, vests, and road signs are provided by Keep NEPA Beautiful
