Monday, March 9, 9 am to 11 am Ellie Schiller Homosassa Wildlife State Park Tour. Join us for a guided tour of the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park with Ranger Kate Spratt. This will be a joint Sierra Club outing and Citrus Native Plant Society outing/field trip. Kate will describe the parks role, history, and show you the recently renovated Underwater Observatory. Participants will also experience a look at the park not normally seen by the normal park visiter. The group will meet at the parks West Entrance on Fishbowl Drive parking lot (9225 W Fishbowl Dr, Homosassa, FL 34448) at 8:45 am, and the tour will begin at 9 am. Plan on 1.5-2 hours on this tour. Parking is available at either the US 19 / Suncoast Blvd parking area (4150 S Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa, FL 34446), from where you can take the shuttle to the entrance to the park at Fishbowl Drive, or you can park in the smaller parking lot on Fishbowl.
