Hike Alameda Creek to Coyote Hills

Meet at Alameda Creek Staging Area at 10am.Parking is free.Driving Directions: Drive East on Dumbarton bridge. Take the first exit Thornton Av. and turn left. Thornton Av turns into Paseo Padre Parkway. Drive to Ardenwood Bl and turn left. Cross the Alameda Creek and turn left onto Easton Dr. and immediately turn left onto Easton CT. The parking lot will be at the end of that road. There is a porta potty in the parking lot.Hike description: We will cross the Alameda Creek and hike into Coyote Hills park. The first 2.5 miles is flat then we will hike over Red Hill for a total of 292' elevation gain. This trail is very steep and rocky. Poles are very helpful on this trail. There is an option to not go on the hill and stay on the flat trail. Total miles if you go on the Red Hill trail will be 6 miles.Bring: Medical Form, lunch, water, poles if you use them.Leader: Jane Bagley.Cell 650-740-9635.
