Hike San Pedro Valley Park

MEET- 10 am near the restrooms. San Pedro Valley County park is located at 600 Oddstad Blvd, Pacifica. 94044 . Restrooms and water in the parking lot. Admission free to those 62 and over during the week, $6 fee otherwise.Carpool: No designated carpool.HIKE DESCRIPTION- Approximately 8 miles with 1500 ft elevation gain. Come enjoy the ocean views from several trails in San Pedro Valley County Park. We'll first hike the Hazelnut trail, then the take the Weiler Ranch trail to the Valley View trail, where we'll climb up for more views. We'll probably have lunch along this trail. We'll hike back to the parking area and continue on the Trout Farm and Brooks Trail to another ocean view. We'll also have a view of Brooks Falls -- it was flowing when I scouted the hike. It is easy to shorten this hike by returning to the parking lot after doing the Hazelnut trail or skipping the last part on Brooks Trail.BRING- Completed Medical Form, plenty of water, poles if you use them, a sitting pad for lunch, layered clothing.HIKE LEADER- Diana Hall dianahall39@yahoo.com cell 650-265-8844
