Celebrate the America's 250th anniversary by marching in Montclair's 2026 July 4th Parade. Joining the Gateway Group will be members of Interfaith Climate Action, Northeast Earth Coalition, and the NJ Chapter of the Electric Vehicle Association as we promote the Sierra Club, electric vehicles, independence from fossil fuels, and pollinator gardens. 

The March route is 1.6 miles from the Montclair central business district to Edgemont Park. For most of the march, we will be walking along tree shaded Midland Ave with a short stretch along Bloomfield Ave. 

Bring along any homemade signs encouraging things individuals can do to stop climate change and improve our environment. 

More details regarding the parade will be sent to members who sign up via the club's calendar links. 

This will be the third year the Club is marching - the crowds cheer when we pass by and the marchers have a great time passing out candy and other treats to the children lining the parade route.
