Dingleberry Lake Mule Pack Trip, August 16 - 21, 2026.
Dingleberry Lake (10,507 ft elevation) is in the picturesque Sabrina Basin within the stunning John Muir Wilderness. Our hike starts at the trailhead next to the Sabrina Lake dam west of Bishop, CA. The hike is 5.5 miles with approximately 1500 feet of gain to our basecamp. You will enjoy hiking with only a daypack alongside Lake Sabrina's shoreline and then climbing 1000 feet to Blue Lake. We will continue through open forested areas with multiple alpine lakes to our campsite just above Dingleberry Lake. Our camp provides hiking access to many alpine lakes such as Baboon Lake, Donkey Lake, Topsy Turvy Lake, Midnight Lake, Sailor Lake, and Hungry Packer Lake. All this is surrounded by amazing peaks of over 13,000 ft.

We will have four layover days to explore the many lakes of the area, fish, relax, and enjoy each others' company. If you are so inclined, you can join Leslie for some yoga, stretching, and relaxation classes.
Wine is provided for the Happy Hours. Participants get to contribute to both Happy Hour and Desserts, while Leaders will host hearty soups and exquisite dinners. Everyone also gets to chip in to a scrumptious Pancake Breakfast with all the fixings!

Bishop Creek Pack Station will carry 50 pounds per person of your gear while we carry daypacks and lunch.
