Meeting Place and Parking: We will meet in the large field featuring the statue of Dr. Edward A. Babler. Before you get to the Visitor Center, park along Guy Park Drive or John Cochran Drive. Park on the pavement, NOT on the grass. Please dim your headlights before getting to the field, so you don’t make it too bright for everyone watching the meteor shower. Look for a yellow bifold Seirra Club sign.

Directions: From MO-109, turn onto BA. Then turn into the entrance of Babler SP and drive about 0.3 miles. As stated above, park near the field along Guy Park Drive. Coordinates: 38.61736, -90.687618
The leader will be driving a Gold Honda Accord with license number 2 BKIND.

This is a VERY COOL and STELLAR outing!! Come see a large number of meteors fall from the sky!  It’s quite a memorable sight. It is an outing coordinated with Babler State Park and the St. Louis Astronomical Society. There will be telescopes available and astronomy society members will be available to answer questions. We will be chilling out and watching a MAJOR meteor show in full display. Families are welcome!

Difficulty: Easy

• All participants must sign a waiver.
• Guns are prohibited. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
• Dress appropriately for the weather. Bring drinks, snacks, bug spray, flashlight and whatever you would like to watch the meteor shower.
• Restrooms are available.
