The Presidents' Day of Service to honor leaders by serving the public through community volunteering.
The Three Rivers Project of the Piasa Palisades Sierra Club Group (PPG) is planning a neighborhood litter cleanup on Monday, February 16th, 2026 from 10 AM- 12 PM. The public is invited to help remove trash and litter from the Wadlow Town Center's Bicycle and Walking Trail area.
We are asking residents to join the Sierra Club to be a part of the solution to combat plastic pollution in the Alton area. This area has a creek that flows into the Wood River and then into the Mississippi River. Of all trash, plastic trash has the greatest potential to harm the environment, wildlife, and humans. We will join with 1st Ward Alderman and his constituents to honor our leaders by helping to clean up the neighborhood.
