What can we do to defend against current threats to our public lands and waters?
Join the SLO Sierra Club’s panel of local leaders defending against the current threats to public lands and waters. The panelists will discuss federal, state and local threats to public lands and waters, what the impacts are to the Central Coast and what we can do to protect them.
Panelists include:
- Congressman Salud Carbajal, representing 24th Congressional District of California, Santa Barbara County and portions of San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties.
- Erin Eastwood, Founder and Principal of Blue Spark Strategies, working on ocean science and policy.
- Neil Havlik, Board President of the Carrizo Plain Conservancy
- Michael Khus-zarate, Board member of the Coastal Band of the Chumash Nation
- Ben Vizzachero, a federal wildlife biologist, lifelong birdwatcher and conservationist. The views and opinions expressed by Mr. Vizzachero at this event are his own and are not representative of any federal agency.
