Self-Guided Mansion Tour and Hike at Nolde Forest State Park Register

This Event will start with a self-guided tour of the original Nolde Mansion when it opens at 1 pm, then proceed to a Hike guided by Lisa Anzalone. The combination will take about three hours ending by 4 pm. The Hike will be moderately difficult with roots, rocks and many ups and downs, approximately 3 miles in length. Neither the Mansion nor the Hike is accessible.


We will meet at the parking lot of the Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center a few minutes before 1 pm. Parking will be tight because there are several events at the Park on this date, please park carefully. Dogs are allowed, on a leash at all times. Owners will be expected to clean up after their dogs. 

Lisa Anzalone will be our guide on the Hike. We will not have any experts on this Hike so please be ready to share what you know with others and bring your phone with any apps you might consider useful such as iNaturalist, Seek, Merlin Bird Guide, etc. Connectivity at Nolde can be limited but it is available. 

Consider bringing snacks and water as well as a water carrier, layered clothing, sun screen, a hat, and comfortable walking shoes. More details will be shared with registered participants prior to the Outing but please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
