Sierra Club Outings Leader Training at Santee State Park
Interested in becoming a Sierra Club Outings Leader? Join us the weekend of November 20th at Santee State Park for a hands-on training designed for members interested in leading future hikes, paddles, volunteer events, and other outdoor adventures.Whether you're brand new to leading outings or have been thinking about getting more involved, this training is a great opportunity to learn about the Outings Leader role, build your skills, and connect with other Sierra Club members who enjoy getting people outdoors. Space is limited, so please RSVP early to reserve your spot. Friday November 20-22, 2026 Santee State Park, South Carolina Training times: TBDThe South Carolina Chapter has reserved 5 tent campsites at Cypress View Campground from Thursday, November 19 through Sunday, November 22, along with Picnic Shelter #2 for the training session and community meals. We’re excited to share that the South Carolina Chapter has been selected by the National Chapter Outings Team to receive A-Team training! Whether you're brand new to leading outings or have been thinking about getting more involved, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn directly from experienced Sierra Club trainers and build the skills and confidence needed to lead safe, fun, and meaningful outings.
