We will be meeting in the pavilion right off Crawford Creek road. We will be taking a guided tour though the woodlands of the McCully Heritage project and learn about spring Ephemerals. This part of the hike will be presented by Michelle Berg, University of Illinois Educator. Hike is through woodland trails and there are relatively level with some short hills. This is an outdoor event so please dress for the weather and be prepared to walk in woods. Good hiking boots/shoes are recommended. After the guided tour we will walk over to the established mushroom farm on site and discuss how to grow mushrooms at home. If the group decides we then can take a short hike around the pond. McCully offers many hiking trails throughout the year, as well as tent and RV camping and a cabin. There are many educational activities through out the year and they also host other entities.
