We are filibustering the State of Utah and Rocky Mountain Power this coming Wednesday, September 18 at the Utah State Capitol to protect our air and our national parks from haze pollution. And we want you to be a part of it.
Filibusters have been moments when decision-makers take over the mic to disrupt business as usual. While we are not legislators, we've had enough of business as usual around clean air and our national parks. Our wait is over.
The EPA released their draft decision to partially approve/disapprove of Utah’s state implementation plan around Regional Haze Round 2 and their deadline to receive public comments is this coming Wednesday.
It’s our time to grab the mic and make sure the people are heard. We will meet at the south steps of the Utah State Capitol, and there we will read out loud, one by one, every single public comment submitted to the EPA for our State to hear. There are over 6,000 comments, and counting!
We will begin reading comments at 1pm. Join us at 3:30pm when we’ll shift to our main program, before teams of members go to hand deliver their comments to the Public Service Commission, the Division of Air Quality, and Rocky Mountain Power.
Cancellation Policy: Activity is held rain or shine, but may be altered due to inclement weather
