Join us on this leisurely paced, easy hike (3 miles RT, 50 ft elevation gain) along Whatcom Creek, through Whatcom Falls Park to Bloedel Donovan Park, and back to the historic stone bridge to view the beautiful main falls of Whatcom Creek.  We will meet at the trailhead near the parking lot at 1:00pm.

We will start at the trailhead near parking lot at the end of Silver Beach Road, and will proceed northeast, past the fish hatchery and past Derby Pond. Upon reaching the bridge, we will cross Whatcom Creek towards Railroad Trail. We will proceed north along Railroad Trail and pass Scudder's Pond and Whatcom Lagoon until we reach Electric Avenue. We will then return to the bridge and work our way north to Bloedel Donovan Park, for a nice viewing of Lake Whatcom. We will then return back along Whatcom Creek to the stone bridge to view the main Whatcom Falls. A detailed map of the area can be found here

Two single stall, non-gender-specific restrooms are located near the parking lot/trailhead. Dogs on leash are welcome.

No vaccine or tests are required for this outing. You may be walking with people who are vaccinated and unvaccinated. You are welcome to wear a mask if it makes you comfortable. Please stay home if you are sick or experiencing any COVID symptoms.
