Winter Hike at Broemmelsiek Park

Join Outings Leader Laurie for a moderate hike through the scenic trails of Broemmelsiek Park in Saint Charles County! Come see what this beautiful park has to offer in winter, when crowds are low and the bare trees leave an unobstructed view of the landscape. Starting at the Visitors Center off of Hwy DD, we will make a 3.3 mile loop on two trails. We will start on Jacks Loop, which weaves through the woods and connects to the Cattle Ridge Trail. We'll follow Cattle Ridge back to Jacks Loop. The end of our route opens up to a picturesque view of Betty's Lake, where we will cross the lake and head back to the Visitors Center. We will be going at a casual walking pace, with minimal stops to help us keep warm!
